Hey, my name is Jake. I am 23 years old and I am from Elko, Nevada. I have always had a thing for 80's GM cars and I have had a few (88 Celebrity Eurosport, 82 LeSabre Limited) and I am now the proud owner of a 1984 Chevy Monte Carlo with the 305. It does need paint but the body is in excellent condition. I will explain more later with some pictures.

Thanks guys!

Welcome aboard Jake.
Looking forward to pics of your new ride when you get a chance ,of course...and thanks for the proper introduction. Some guys don't know the meaning of the word.
Btw, my car has a Celebrity Eurosport steering wheel in it.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! Here's a few pictures.

This is an 84 with the 305 and I believe the non O/D transmission. Power windows and locks. Bench seat, column shifter.

I know, it doesn't look too hot right now. It does need paint. This car has minimal real rust (aside from the surface rust you see), an extremely straight body and a strong powertrain. Interior is great except for the cracked dash, as you can see in the photos. And someone butchered the center radio bezel when installing the stereo so I need to fix that. Current plans are a temporary white paint job, some general maintenance (new tires, rear brakes, new wheels, ball joints, tie rods etc) and SS gauges.

Looks scruffy, but solid...great potential. Keep us up to date on your progress.
