New Glasstek hood for the Monte

So I decided to buy a new hood for my Monte because I will need the extra clearance for the new engine but the issue is I wanted a bolt on hood at least 6" tall and decided against a cowl because of obstruction of view for street driving so I decided to have Glasstek make me a 6.5" Sunoco style bolt on hood.
They didn't offer this scoop with the ridge down the middle like my cowl but I don't really think I am going to miss it.
I will have to trim the edges and as little as possible off the rear of the scoop.

That is officially Badass!!!! I wanted that style hood for the Cutlass, but couldn't afford it. I've always liked the shape of the sunoco scoop and how it is more rounded. I look forward to seeing it on the Monte.

That looks cool. there are just too many cowl induction hoods mounted to undeserving vehicles these days that it's good to have something different.

Are you gonna let it bake in the sun a few days after mounting before sanding?

It going to be quite a while before I even install it, I have to finish mocking up the AC and then pull the engine and reinstall the new one plus I am currently working on the Regal.
Plus Glasstek told probably 8 weeks and it came in 5 so I wasn't expecting it this soon.

Lets see it in the car! I had a similar issue on my blazer with a cowl hood so I had a custom 5 inch built that tapers back to 3.5 at the windshield.
