whats up guys... so my project is a 79 Malibu, purchased it off the original owners son after he passed, pretty clean car... this is pretty much my first Gbod build, i have always loved them, grew up around them, now I'm giving it a go at building this thing on my own, having a blast, but could always use good advise and criticism from the pros like you guys... so here goes, some pics of my progress, hope you enjoy

Welcome aboard! Nice Malibu. Looks like you didn't waste any time upgrading and personalizing it....cool! The wheels make a dramatic difference in it's appearance.
Thanks for the introduction and pics. Keep us updated on your progress.

Welcome from KY. That's a beautiful Malibu, you can tell it was taken care of!!!

Thanks for sharing the story and pics, and it looks like you've already got a decent start on it with the wheel swap(they look perfect on there), as well as the engine/trans combo. Maybe share some engine specs with us.

You've definitely joined the best G body site on the web!!!

Thanks fellas, it's good to be here... I've owned plenty of cars, euros, Japanese, but there's nothing like the feeling these cars give.
As for engine specs, it's a 350 SBC form a 72 Chevelle, supposedly it was rebuilt many years ago and it has 90k on it. I installed some Vortec 906 heads, Proform Roller Rockers, Summit Intake, Summit 600cfm Carb, i have a Voodoo cam and lifters for it... just some stuff that I've pieced together, I'm not looking for a rocket, just a lil pep, hopefully this combo does the trick

The car is so clean I'm a little surprised there was rust in the floor pan. All in all, you don't find nice original cars like that too much anymore.
