New guy jumping in with a 86 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2

Hey everyone, I'm glad to find and join this G-body forum! Like most people I have lots of questions, and have already found some answers in other posts here. I spend some of my time on the 'other' forums for older *cough* A and B bodies LOL, but this is my first G-body car. I found my 2+2 aerocoupe on of course, Craigslist. But the car only had 20K miles and the price was right, so i overlooked the whale tail. I do think it is the car you love to hate. And who makes a car with a trunk opening smaller than a full size tire? I'm a bit of an older car guy, so this 86 is a bit of a hybrid car for me, what with a carbureator that has electronic sensors on it?...normal fan belts mixed with a serpentine one?..and an air pump pushing air into the exhaust manifolds? These were strange times at GM. But I look forward to talking about it here for sure!

Welcome to the site! Lots of good folks here. You have a very nice looking 2+2 there. Looks to be in really good condition. I had one years ago, but it was in very bad shape, and I ended up selling it as a parts car, to a gentleman who owned a 2+2 in good shape, so he would have extra parts if he needed them.
