MALIBU New here - Malibu in Australia

Hi, just joined up. I have recently purchased a 1980 Malibu coupe. I have family in Seattle so it’s sitting at my brothers house now. Hoping to do a few upgrades before it gets shipped to me here in Brisbane Australia. Looking to do a cowl hood, probably some steel wheels or rally’s, I like a copo style (suggestions on size appreciated). I will also do a booster and MC upgrade and a trutrac with 28 spline moser axles. I can’t go to far as a condition of importing it is that it’s not modified too much. That will have to wait until it gets here!

This looks like a great resource, for m looking forward to learning more about the platform.

You'll have to post some pics of your Malibu when you get the car home. How long do they estimate the length of time in which the car will arrive?

No, I can leave her left hand drive as she is more than 25 years old. There are a couple of minor things I have to do, like orange rear turn signals, and believe it or not, a child seat mount point 😂

Interesting. I spent a month in Sydney about 3 years ago. Really enjoyed it!

Awesome. Australia’s a great place to live but we don’t have access to cool cars like the states that’s for sure.
