new hood supports

will these work with a fiberglass hood? I have a fiberglass hood and have been warned not to re install the stock springs for the supports as those are loaded for a steel hood.

I hope I can pick up a set of these as currently the only way I can keep my hood open is by propping it (which is not the correct way and a major pain in the *ss) and by doing that it stresses the fiberglass which can lead to cracks.

i can set u up with a set up that will work i just need to know the weight of your fiberglass hood. and is there mounting points for a factory spring?

My car is still in the paint shop however the hood is off of it. I am planning on swinging by there tonight as it is to check on the work being done, I'll try to get the weight of the hood. I have the factory brackets installed, they are just missing the springs. I will send you some pictures and hopefully we can work something out.
