Hi guys.

Proud new owner of a 1983 Regal, out in Vancouver BC Canada. I've wanted to get a G-body forever, I had an 81 Monte about 20 years ago as a project but I realized at that age with young kids I just didn't have the means to work on it so I had to sell it. However, here we are 20 years later and gosh darnit I deserve it. LOL.

This isn't the Grand National of my dreams but it will due for now, having a tone of fun ripping around Vancouver while the weather permits for the rest of summer. Rebuilt 350 motor, full restoration on the body and frame with new paint. Lowered with 17" American racing torque thrust ii's. I'm working on putting in a new stereo system now...no big future plans at the moment, happy to enjoy her as she is for now and see what I get the itch to do next year.

I'll post some more pics soon. Honestly been too busy riding around to snap many pics.

Welcome.

The Regal looks fantastic.

Being divergent, I don't really find value the specific model (i.e. was it a GN or a 442 or Hurst), since the potential is there in every G-body. Only rust and damage matters to me; any g-body can be more badass than the GNX ever was in 1988 with off the shelf drivetrain upgrades, like the 350 you have in it.

People be like "numbers matching this and that, one of 200 built". Whatever.

Yeah I hear you, I'm definitely in love with this thing and plan to keep her for a long time. I just love the look of the all blacked out GN.

I would go with the blacked out look on mine but I feel like it would put off too much "wanna-be GN" vibes. That being said, you got to just build and drive what you like.

I like the chrome too, makes it more unique imo.

Welcome to the GBodyForum!
I think most of us here have a story similar to yours. It's nice when we get older to have the time to enjoy what we couldn't then. Sharp looking Regal. It may not be the Grand National of your dreams however, nothing a turbo couldn't fix!
