Just wanted to say thanks for letting me join and share my car!
It is a 1983 Cutlass that has been sitting for the past 17 years, yes I said 17, because of bad decisions in women and many other things! LOL
I am in the process of building a turbo charged LS for it, still in the air weather I am going to do a all aluminum 5.3 or 6.2, waiting to see if the deal on the 6.2 to go through.

I didn't realize how bad the car was before or it has gotten worse from setting outside for to many years but the trunk will probably need replaced. On a good note I did just buy a donor car for parts. I will be using doors, wiring, heater, a/c, bumpers and a few other parts for my car since I gutted mine 20 years ago and now need some of those creator comforts that I didn't back then.

With all that being said I will leave you with a few pics of the car and the progress I have made so far!

Thanks again, I honestly am tired of the Facebook pages and I am happy to see a forum that seems to be going strong!

Welcome to the forum from Central Michigan. My Cutlass sat stored for 25 years before I did my second rebuild. Dont feel bad. Theres a lot of us out there who had a run (long run) of bad luck before restarting. There are some real jokesters on here but a lot of intelligent people who know Gbodies. Good luck with your build.

I see a cage in the car what's your intentions for it. I've got a stock block 350 (L-82) w/ 2.02 heads, big cam, vic Jr, and a 750

What engine combos and where at in West Michigan are you guys from?
I’ve had 3 different Olds engines in my car in the past. They were all fun in their own way but I got tired of 50 year old technology, limited low head flow choices, and perpetual leaks so I upgraded to a 6.2 L92 with a 4L80. It was the best upgrade to the car I have made to date. It was cheaper than building the 455 with EFI that I had in the planning stages and I would bet that it also performs better.

So when I started to work on the car again my intentions was to buy a Dart SBC block and use the brand new eagle crank, h beam rods and probe pistons to build a 406 and spray the sh*t out of it.
Then I talk to a friend that runs a BADASS 427ci LS engine and a giant turbo and quickly found it was cheaper and easier to build a fast motor using a 5.3 base and a turbo!
Soooooo I searched LKQ and found an aluminum block 5.3 short block for $200 and started changing over to the LS stuff. Now I have 4 aluminum 5.3 and if this guy comes through on the deal I am working I will be upgrading to an all aluminum 6.2 and putting a 93mm turbo, Holley Dominator EFI and using the stock internals and heads.
On a side note I do have some nice SBC parts to sell! LOL
