my friend had a 1990 chevy silverado with the factory maroon / silver paint --- i always thought it was a great color combination.

I did an 86 El Camino in GM Black Cherry Red over Chrysler 300 Slate Gray many years ago. Colors just looked good together.

Depends on the shade. Depends on how you split it. Im assuming the tops going to be the silver ? Maroon interior ?

Just did a metallic charcoal paint on my Regal. Maroon interior and maroon pinstripe. Its a very good combo imo
