Greetings,

I have a 1980 Chevy Malibu that I can currently restoring. I am new to this forum as well as restoring cars. I have one specific question on how to connect the shift indicator cable with a floor gear shifter. I can't find instruction no where to connect this wire with a floor shifter. Please help!

Thanks a million.

Welcome to the site!

This pic should give you an idea of where the clip for the shift indicator should go. It would be the same for column or floor shift cars.

Post up some pics of your car when you get a chance.

X2 on pics, we like to see what others are doing with their gbodies.
What part of the country do you call home?

The photo that Kevin has posted is correct. Just make sure that you perform the initial adjustment with the transmission in neutral, and align the indicator pointer with the N on the shift position display. That way, it should align properly in all other gear positions.
