Hi, my name is Steve and I have a 1978 Cutlass with T-tops, 350 Olds, bucket seats and center console. I bought the car when I was 19 (about 26 years ago) and it was my daily driver for about 5 years. It has sat without being driven at all for close to 12 years. I'm in the process of tearing it down and doing some resto-mod stuff to it. That's why I'm here, to learn as much as I can and to get ideas!

Sounds like an awesome car. What year Olds 350? Is it stock and do you want to keep it that way? Welcome.

It's out of a 76 442 if I remember correctly. When I bought it I took it to a machine shop and they just re-ringed it and turned the crank .010". The current plan for the motor is to try to find some heads to raise the comp. ratio, a mild cam, and possibly a throttle body fuel injection system. I just want it to be a cruiser. I I have a need for speed I have a 91 Mustang 5.0 coupe. :)

Welcome aboard, Steve!
Thanks for the introduction....and we'd love to see pics of your Cutlass out of hibernation

I noticed a few new members didn't even bother with an intro, but wanted their questions answered right away....the cajones. :giggle:

Glad you had a place to keep it safe. I've had my coupe for almost 20 years. It has about the same sorta history as yours...keep the faith!
