I just installed my remanned TH350 in my El Camino. The driveshaft won't go all the way in. It stops about 1.5-2 inches shy of where it's supposed to. Any ideas why? :bump::itchy:

No I got it from Performanc Automatic. Same 6inch tailshaft. There's no reason I can think of why it's not going in.

Improperly installed tailshaft bushing - (bottomed, mushroomed) suport the trans and take the tailshaft housing off and see if it fits w/o it.

Spit on it.

When I can't get it in that's what I do.

Works every time!!
