I’m thinking the same. I’m hoping I just didn’t get a a good ground when I tested it. Regardless I need a new starter and the purple wire needs to moved anyway so that will rule that out.

I’m going to inspect the battery cable while I’m at it.

Got the new starter installed with the purple wire on the correct terminal and it fired right up. Now it’s pissing fuel out of the aftermarket regulator.

to fix the fuel problem put the purple wire on the other terminal.....

is the reguator leaking from the gaskets or the gas fittings"?
It’s pissing out of the fitting on the right side of the regulator. I can’t tell if it’s also leaking out of the left side of the regulator due to the amount from the other side.

Are you using the correct style fitting for your regulator say AN versus NPT or o-ring versus non o-ring?

Not sure yet. Previous owner did all the work. If it’s anything like the rest of the car it’s probably incorrect. Hasn’t been leaking all season until it sat for the last little while I changed the trans. Don’t know why it would start now.

Looks like the fittings are correct. He added a washer for some reason that seems to be pinching the Oring on the AN fitting. I’m going to remove the washer and see if that fixes the problem.

AN fittings do not use O rings. That looks like a sketchy fuel line set up. If it was mine I would be removing what is there and replace it with good quality parts installed properly
