So I cut out the sheet metal, ordered another washer and decided to use 1/8 inch plate instead of sheet metal. This worked a lot better. Super solid now! So that means that the frame is now totally fixed. Next work session will be bolting the body down in the rear with the new body mounts. Then I can paint the frame inside with the Eastwood internal frame coating, the outside with SEM Rust trap. Then I can paint the under side of the trunk floor with bed coating, reinstall the restored gas tank with new sending unit and replace the fuel lines. Then it will run!
