If you keep the rod from the gear selector to the column in place, you don't need to do any wiring at all.
BTW, g-bodies don't have a neutral safety switch.
That rod controls a mechanical interlock in the column.

That is not true.
I have a megashifter in my 442, and I had no trouble making it work correctly.
The instructions show you how to stack the b&m bracket with the stock bracket.
They recommend welding the two together, but I didn't even do that...

No, B&M tells you that it's ok to do.
I first installed the shifter in 2001, and have had ZERO problems.
If a stoned 17 year old with no experience can figure it out, I'm confident you can too...

I've tried telling people that for years but most people refuse to believe it!

I wonder if the Quicksiver shifter linkage/cable would hook up just like your Megashifter's? Do you have a pic of your Megashifter installed?

BTW, you may want to fix your transmission leak.

Blake442 is absolutely correct. I was a little stumped at first, but I remembered reading on the forum that the neutral safety/reverse switch was in the column, so I just hooked up my Mega Shifter today with the same linkage configuration. It was not in the instructions that I got, but it just seemed like it would work, so I figured I'd give it a try. :D
