oil pressure sender fitting

I'm installing and electric oil pressure gauge into a Oldsmobile engine. the end that screw into the block isn't long enough to fit in the hole without hitting the water pump housing. I need a fitting that extend about 3/4 to 1 inch above water pump housing . looking for some suggest to make it work. I know there have been post related to this subject but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Brass 1/8" pipe nipple about 1" long and a 1/8" coupling.

Check you local auto parts store and inquire about Edelmann brass fittings. They should have a cabinet with drawers full of fittings, and if they don't have it they should be able to order it.
