Can anyone confirm this will work? I have an old BG Speed Demon 750 mechanical secondary unit that the heli-coils are pulling out on the bowl screws. Can I put a Holley 750HP main body in?
It's a temporary band aid until I can get a Sniper, and I don't necessarily want to drop new carb money on something I don't really want.

Greetings Fleming & all; From what you're saying I can't find a reason why it wouldn't work. But make sure to get a mechanical HP body. Do you already have the HP body? If not a (Holley) Quick Fuel body could save ya money? If you like you could send me the parts ya got & I could get something together for ya that ya like so well that a Sniper becomes a questionable dream?? Ole' Bob.
Ps: This is one I put together for a friend & he is selling it now as it needs a new primary shaft or base. It's a 650 CFM HP body & as you can see it's a vacuum secondary. What is the butterfly #s, Dia's? Would this interest you? What are you feedin'?
Pss: As of next Tuesday I'll be gone for a couple of weeks, "Slay the Dragon". But if ya aren't in a hurry I could be your man??

Hey, Bob, thanks for the offer, but I think it may be a tad small for a 468, even limited to 6k rpm. ;)

I was looking to buy an HP main body, and transfer the metering blocks, bowls, and baseplate to it from the Demon. I did a little research online, and it looks like it will go. The HP main is only around $140, much less than the Sniper EFI if I can make it work.
Good luck on your trip!

I've already Heli-coiled the threads (maybe a few too many times) in the BG; I'm throwing in the towel.
Form what I see, the HP has replaceable air bleeds, so I can really screw it up!

What CFM are you looking for and mechanical or vacuum secondaries?
You might be better off getting a Holley refurbished carb in the long run.
I am running a refurbished Holley Avenger 670 on my Regal and it works great and I saved quite a bit of money over buying new.
Here is an example:
