Nope. The heads are the east of your problems; you need to get it above the stock 7.9:1 CR.

fleming442 thanks for your reply. what you are saying is if i upgrade to this cam kit i gain no performance beacuse of my Heads or you mean i get less than 300HP?? i want to push it above 200 HP

What I'm saying is that there is a greater performance gain in the bottom end. There are a few ways to accomplish this without changing pistons, but the gain won't be as good as putting a set of flat tops in. The cam will get you some, probably over the 200 mark, but compression is where the real power lies in a 403.

Unless you add bigger valves and port work, those 5A heads will restrict flow quite a bit. Only good part about them is you will now be at 9 to 1 compression. I believe 1.875 intake and 1.56 exhaust 350 valves are the biggest that will fit, I hear you hit water with a 2" intake valve. That along with the bowls opened up and port work should equal early stock 350 heads. Also put springs to match whatever cam you choose. I can't see the specs of that cam being from Canada, I assume it is a generic cam, what are duration, lift and LSA numbers.

I think the lift is a little too aggressive for a stock engine.

Yeah, the generic number two cam, most don't care for its performance. Also realize you will need a higher stall converter and deeper gears will help as well.

Maybe not that bad.... I had a Comp XE268 in my 400G; never did run the CR, but it was a dog down low. Comparatively, the hydraulic roller in my 468 is puny, and hauls @$$.
