Hi,

My name is Waldo, I write from Santiago of Chile, yesterday I buy a one Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 1978.

It come with cruise control, floor shifter, a real NASTY 260 ci V8 engine with a THM200 transmission.

The car is a real original situation, It come with all A/C system, cruise control and original vacuum ports, sensors....etc

I have a some question.

I need lower an upper bearing from steering column (tilt).

It is posiible to put a 350 rocket engine with th350?

I need to buy a hardware (bolts) from upper and lower control arm, here in Chile has not exist.

I´m confused about the all the rear bushing , some have the moog part number to need to buy to repair rear suspension?

The car is so original that I would like to keep it that way.

I would like to change the cluster to a gauge cluster, some here sale one?

The car have rust in the rear window at lower corner , I need to know how remove the top carpet an remove the little window to remove the rust.

In the trunk lid come with a "congressional olds" plate, Someone know who is it?

Pictures!

Thanks and sorry for m bad english!

Waldo

May be the best route to go then. A 350 Chevy is a fairly easy swap in your car. Extend a few wires, use same year 305 Monte Carlo motor mounts(available new) and a short tail Chevy th350 transmission

Hi Waldo,

Speedway motors, umi performance, bmr, jegs or Summit will have the bushings and bolts. Shipping might be a challenge, good luck with your project!

Guys. We've found him. We've found Waldo. But seriously, cool car man! An Olds 350 Rocket and a TH350 will swap right in. 260/Th200 out, 350/350 in. Simple as that. But it might be easier to do a Chevy because the parts are more available. With the rust around the window, just carefully take all the trim off, the vinyl top will probably rip if it it isn't already, and take the window out and repair it like normal. A car window repair shop or a body shop could do this for you.
