Hey y'all. I'm thinking about purchasing an 84 Olds Hurst. My first ever car was an 85 Regal, so I'm pumped about the familiarity of the interior, etc.

I'll take a wild stab at it and say not much more than 4 or 5k just because it's an H/O.
Cons:
-paint needs re-done ($$$)
-rear wing missing ends
-interior looks sun-beaten
-looks like it sat for a while
-concerned about all window seals and therefore also the floor pans
Pros:
-unique exterior parts
-unique shifter
-From my experience the 307 (if well kept) is a trusty engine.

Does it have the lightning rods in it?

Thanks 307. I'm paying a little less than 3k, and my friend (a mechanic) is going to give it a once over before deal gets done. Good point about the window seals. There is a little bit of door sag, but I sat in the interior and there had been no sign of any water getting in/moisture on the floor, but I'll be sure to take a closer look. At the end of the day, I don't think I want to pass up the opportunity to restore this. I loved my 85 Regal, but it was nothing special when I owned it 15 years ago. This seems different.

A little less than 3k is what I paid for my Regal back in 2008. And the paint was even worse. lol
Had a low output vin Y 307 in it with a little over 105k miles; never treated me wrong.
I wish you the best of luck and welcome to the forum!
