That sway bar looks like it would work well with a narrowed rearend... and 15" wide wheels. Do it.

It's much beefier than I thought it would be - the forward bars appear that they should have zero flex. It should mount just inside of the spring perches. I intend to weld on the mount brackets rather than use a u-bolt. The 8.8 kit that I bought from Southside Performance has a budget lower spring mount that is welded on the axle. It can easily be relocated if needed. From mocking it up it looks like I should have plenty of clearance on the center housing (offset 8.8).

I found a set of 15x10’s locally to try out. These are with 275/60R15. I still have .5-.75” clearance on a factory frame rail ( no frame notch.)

Tread width on the pavement is 3/4” wider than the same tire on my 8” wide wheels.

And still have 2+“ to the wheel well vertically.

I guess my point here is that a 15x10 wheel will fit with a 275.

In July I ordered a hitch that was 'in stock' in New Jersey.

Conveniently it showed up this weekend lol. Only 5 months after I ordered it and 3 months too late.

I thought these things were not being produced any longer, but I guess I was wrong - this is very fresh paint and packaging.

Sway / ARB in. Hangs a little low, but no lower than the side exhaust exit. Was able to get it installed with the control arm supports - kind of a pita, but not impossible. Hoping this stops the body twist.

The third pic identifies a minor bit of an issue that I hope the ARB resolves. I hadn’t noticed it previously, but looks like some love rubbing taking place. I’ll be clearancing the floor brace when the trans is out getting the a trans brake put in.

Waiting to get the fuel rails for the Trailblzer intake back from the local aluminum tig guy.

They really don't design these bars for lowered cars. What an interesting solution to the endlink mounts.

And yes, the driveshaft kissing the cross brace is bad.

Is that 7.5" rear end? Or Ford 8.8"?

Wonder how much that slowed me down, eh? I made 3 hits in a row and cranked up the boost and timing as I went, but didn't go a whole bunch faster. Needless to say, when I saw it, I thought of you and knew some hackery would be involved lol.

The shaft was a new Spicer rater at either 1350 or1400ft/lbs. When I saw the marks on it I was glad that I went for the overkill (and heavy) driveshaft. Those marks are grooves in the shaft, not just scuff marks.

Rusty Exploder 8.8 with a 35 spline spool.

I believe the hitch part # is 12005

I'm pulling the rear to put the final welding on the mounts. Also going to grind on the truss a little bit for some clearance and probably put in a pinion seal after checking the gears lol. I was considering swapping to 3.55's, but my converter guy thinks I should be able to lock it up in 3rd gear without burning up the converter, so that will be the equivalent of 3.55's vs the 3.73's that I have it in it now.

Excuse me, but my work is tasteful.
