Some of you may have seen this on ROP. I'm trying to figure out body and paint while fixing up my daily driver. After Phase one was "complete", I found a bunch of worn suspension components in the front, and had Phase 1.5 jump in. Here's the combination I ended up with:
Belltech 2" drop spindles for 99-04 Blazer
Powerstop pad and rotor package
Reman Blazer calipers
Moog 5662 springs
KYB Excel G shocks
Spohn steering linkage and ball joints
Moog poly end links
Before:

After:

Phase II will be lower rear quarter patches and 2 tone paint (dark Jade metallic). Phase III will be a drivetrain from a 98 Camaro with a 3800 Series II and 4L60E.

Looking good. What size tires are you running? Those are the S10 Extreme wheels, right? There's a set of those at work I've thought about putting on my Monte Carlo.

Are you planning on doing any mods to the 3800?

I'll be watching for details on the 3800 swap, it has crossed my mind a time or two.

The tires are 225/60 front and 235/55 rear. Eventually, I'll just run 225/60 all around, so I can rotate them.
I have a supercharged 3800 top end here already, but I just want to get it running on the swap first.
I will send the ECM to someone to get the Passlock and secondary O2 sensors disabled. I think they (ZZP?) include that on their Stage 1.

intrigued on the 3800 swap as far as what to do on the intake at the firewall, and overall performance. keep the thread updated as you go!

btw, just changing the fender and dropping the suspension made a HUGE improvement to a normally plain car... def digging it!

Ride height looks real nice.

I would love to get a 4 door G-Body for a daily driver if the darn rear windows rolled down!!!!!

With the front windows cracked and the rear vents open, airflow through the sedans/wagons is actually pretty good, way better than the coupes.

When it's really hot...that's what A/C is for.

Thanks for the offer, but I got some new ElCo patches from Summit that were $136 shipped. It looks like all I'll have to do is cut the back down, hammer a flange on the back edge, and fill the side marker. I mocked them up yesterday to get the cut line; I think they'll work well.
