Overdrive linkage????'s

Swapped out a turbo 350 transmission for a 700r4 been driving it for about 2 years and now want to get low gear manually from.my stock column shifter can I just change out the linkage from a 86 monte carlo ss and get all 4 forward gears in the 700r4 using the columnshifter?Thanks

You may be able to just change out the column detent plate to a 4-speed version for a 200-4R from a later G-body? MW9 columns were available on G-body so the detent plate exists. Not sure where you'd find one, though.
