Its a fair market, and its obo. Not really overpriced, IMO. He is just seeing what he can get.

I bet that if he had it listed for $350, someone would buy it and have it listed the same day for $1k or best offer.

Yup, I'll bet $1,000 it'll be gone pretty quick at that price. Not a horrible price at all. Especially if you look at it from an inflationary standpoint. Would be asking the equivalent of about $800 last year.

Supply vs demand dictate the price and the supply is getting smaller every day.

No 8.8 will work when someone is looking for an original OEM bolt in rear for a G body.

Can't remember how long ago I got a 442 rearend+DS but I stole it for cheap. Friend of mine scored his for cheap, too and this was kinda recent. Abandoned project and the story goes like this over text message "hey did you see the wagon on CL?" Replied "Yes, his asking price for the whole car is worth it just for the rearend alone!!!"
