Will P215/75R14 tires, on factory 14x6 rallye wheels, fit on a G-body? In particular a Regal? Stock.

It looks like this was the factory size for the previous generation A-body, 1973-1977. But those were obviously much larger cars.

I'll probably just go with P205/75R14 due to cost ($20-40 less per tire), but wanted to at least entertain something that would fill up the wheel wells a little more. It's hard to believe the factory size was even smaller!

A 225/70R14 fit my 88 really nice on the back. My 88 Cutlass has 215/75R14 tires on it. They are 13 years old and they are getting towed away with it soon. The 215/75 are a bit tall for the front. I say 205/75R14 front and 225/70R14 on the back.

They're fine. It's a total of 1" taller, 1" wider than the stock 195s. It's a net 1/2" in radius difference, and at 1/2 inch I don't see contact being a problem unless you're bouncing down dirt roads with potholes at 45mph, at which point you'd hit anything anyways.

I can say they fit on my 79 Monte Carlo, a 79 Malibu Classic and a 86 El Camino all using the 6 window Chevy rally wheels. I also used a 215-70R-14 on the Monte Carlo Checkerboard wheels when I found them for the El Camino.
