Ok all! Original 1984 Hurst Olds! Using as street/strip! I’m going over the entire car to make it safe and road worthy! After it is gone over, do I paint it or leave it the way it is? I was thinking about just having it sanded and cleared to leave it all original? What say you?

Use a clay bar on it and a good polish after.

If you price a good paint job it might help you make up your mind
I have the money to have it painted! No worries there but, now you open up a brand new can of worms? It seems that every time I purchase a sweet car, it gets scratched or dented and boom your right back to having a beautiful paint job except for that spot right there! If I clear it and leave it the way it is? No worries? What say u?

Looks pretty good in the pics. Maybe you can have a paint less dent guy take care of any dings and have a good paint correction done to make it nice and shiny.

Paint it. If thats surface rust on the roof, take care of it and all the dings around the car. Body looks clean no rot holes of other old body work to fix. Would be an easy job and make the car look great agian.

A paint job is $5000 minimum. For a good job a lot of the car needs to come apart. It’s all what you’re looking for. If it’s clean enough then leave it or do what I said in my earlier post.

It's all about what image you like.

To me, I like a survivor with a little wear, bumps, bruises that tears down the strip more than some shiny fresh painted job. All about a little character.

Do what you'd rather look at, can't go wrong either way as long as it's either a GOOD quality job, or, doing nothing. The $1500 special is a waste of time.
