Does anyone have any recommendations as far as a paint gun goes? My problem is a very small air compressor and a low budget. I will only be using it to paint small parts mainly but always like the results you get from a paint gun rather than a rattle can. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

If its only small parts, like underhood etc, then you may check out Harbor Freight touch up guns. Inexpensive but I wouldn't swear they throw down a show quality paint job. At the prices, use it, abuse it, throw it away after a few jobs.

Ok Ill check into it. Thanks for the input. Does anyone know how well an electric paint gun works? I figured that would be the best bet for me.

Get the Harbour Fright gun (HVLP). I have painted doors, fenders, etc on repairables with professional results. No need to trash it when your done.....its a good unit. Why use an electric gun? Do the job right.

Thanks I think I found the one that I am going to use.

I appreciate your opinions. Just always wanna double check with people who have done it before since I am a beginner and really hate making stupid mistakes. Thanks to everyone on the forum for being willing to help me out from time to time. Your input is always a very big help.

I've got three of them and love them. For the price they can't be beat.

What size tip is on them? Is this a touch-up gun, or a full size gun?

According to the site, the nozzle is 1.5mm and since its listed as a general purpose, I would say it's a full size gun but I'm not 100% sure

Well, judging by the 1.5 tip, it's more than likely a full size gun. ..and also having a 20oz. cup. A touch-up gun would have a smaller tip size like a 1.0. and of course a smaller cup size.
