The engine is in, the wiring is done, the starter is in finally and tomorrow is the big day to turn it over. The one thing I didn't think about when switching from Buick to Olds is the Driver Side starter, which of course requires a dust cover with a cutout on the same side. I have a really nice painted Buick one, but I need one for an Olds. I figured with all the trans swaps and LS /700R4 combos, someone has to have a dust cover kicking around that they would like to get to a good home. It will not keep me from breaking it in and tuning etc, but I would like to have it before I drive it very far, like to get the exhaust fitted and new tires, I am 27 miles from civilization and shops, Washington has water more than dust, but you get the idea. PM me if you want to turn one loose, and any Buick owner than wants one for their shelf, I'll make you a deal!

What you want is an aftermarket universal cover with no cut outs. Cut out the starter hole and bolt it on. Because it fits too tight, you get the turbo sound without the turbo boost. Maybe that is why I think my 88 is fast, sounds like a turbo. Actually it is almost broken in, so the turbo is nearly gone. Mine are all beat up and in Canada, sorry I cannot be more help. The gravel roads here does a number on them. Put a parts wanted ad on here, unless you want a turbo Olds.

I prefer the nice metal one to plastic. I have Paypal if that works for you. $30 shipped to 98252?

I don't have any plastic. The one on the left has a hole in the bottom. I'll dig out a nice one for you.
