Pins on a factory tach

Can any of you fellas tell me how i can hook this up outside of the cluster? Trying to wire it temporarily under the hood while i time and tune my engine. Thanks fellas.

Get a multimeter and check each pin receptical in your instrument panel to see which is 12VDC + and ground, The 3rd pin will be the tachometer signal. Your key will need to be in the run position while checking.

Ok so the pin that has the #3 goes to the "tach" on the distributor, correct?

On pin #1 and #2, which is (+) and which is (-)?

I think what he meant is that after you find out which two pins are 12vDC and ground...the left over pin (third) would be tach signal.

Not sure if you have the tach bracket for that tach or not...but here is a pic of the connections...

Does anyone know where I can find one of those bracket? I would like to add a factory tach to my replace my clock.
