Are those the TS-A878's? If so that's what my uncle put in his MCLS and he had good things to say about them. I will be going with those myself shortly when its time for speakers.

I have the adapters for the 4x10 to 6x9;s already
I never used adapters, I always put a notch in the rear deck for each speaker so they are flush with the underside of the deck and then open up the holes up top to better match the 6 x 9 speaker, doing the notch eliminates any issues with large magnets and trunk bars plus the rear seat hides it

Don't waste your time with a set of 4×10's. I bought a pair of Pioneer's new years ago and was more than a little disappointed with how they sounded from day one. Especially considering they were like $120 back then.
Never had any issues with anything else they made. They were always my go to preferred brand for anything aftermarket car audio.

Since everything is made in China, they are all similar sounding. I have a set of Amazon cheapo Boss or similar 4x10's, sound Ok. I also have the basic 3.5" replacement speakers in the dash, sound fine. Also the Boss 4" are nice sounding. The Pioneer 6" also sound nice. The round, solid voice coil is more durable and lasts longer than the paper centers.

but . . . but . . . . . . now I don’t know what to say?

No amp?

I just turned 60 and I am putting in nearly 900W . . .

Just from the rough wire up a couple weeks ago to decide how I want to route everything, my JBL/Rockford Fosgate setup is going to sound amazing though. These 302 JBLs below have to be mounted on the bottom side of the screw holes so they are low enough to clear the covers (I wallowed out mine with a drill bit in a T tool clamp) and put slip nuts on the speakers plus 300 Hz blockers. You will find they add about 2X the sound of the factory 3 1/2s just running them off the head power. Just not sure what works good off only the head power out back?

But I’ve got 720W in my Tacoma so there is that too . . .

By the word “eccentric” in Websters should be a picture of my smiling face.

Not into buzzing bumpers. Just still (at the age of 60) like quite loud, crystal clear, (primarily) classic rock and blues.

The word eccentric only works if you are rich, other wise it's called nuts!

Don't need the world to hear my music.

I really cant stand the morons that make me listen to what they are listening to when Im sitting in my car with the windows up.

Or even worse when I am sitting in my house or yard trying to enjoy the little bit of piece and quite I rarely have.

I just want something I can enjoy and sounds nice
