hey whats up monte i have a question does anyone know how fast a monte does a 1/4 mile with a about 380 hp 3.73 rear gears, shift kit.
my goal is to get to about 13's please let me know your ideas

That shouldn't be a problem with adequate traction.

Rear wheel HP or crank?

380 at the crank will get you low-mid 13's. 380 at the wheels will drop you down into the bottom 12.0's.

All this depends on the weight, traction and how well the combination is sorted.

i will 400 hp at cranl and 380 at wheels what else can i do to get more hp thats not expensive

going fast costs money, 400 at the crank and 380 at the wheels??? thats what, 5% drivetrain loss? a little optimistic if you ask me. As for what ELSE can be done to add power? what HAS been done, give us more information and it'll help us figure out what else you can do

well im getting a 350 carb. posi, new 3.73, new heads, new exhaust, shift kit and some bf goodrich radials. yeah i talked to my mechanic and he is building the 350 with 400 hp at crank. thats about all that i have thought about getting gone so far

You can google for quarter mile and horsepower calculators, dont know how accurate they are though. enter weight, hp etc and it calculates ets

It's not that hard to get 400hp from a 350cid now-a-days but it does take the right heads and cam. What heads and cam are you using?

I am very near 375-400 hp in my car as well, I am hoping for mid-high 13's. I think it is quite feasible.
