I prefer the OLD Pontiac light blue metallic paint. POR-15 makes a great version that won't burn off. Just add chrome.

Missed this first time around, sharp looking car. Black/silver has always been a favorite of mine.

A friend's dad who happens to be a Pontiac man brought an Edelbrock RPM intake over.

He said I could have it if Ill run it.

The motor is out of the car.

Would anyone tell me if they have experience with this ontake in a gbody? Specifically, clearance space.

I had the Edelbrock performer on my 79 grand Prix and had to have a drop base air cleaner

From what I read the performer rpm puts the carb about 1 1/2" high than the performer

I would avoid it. Your going to have trouble closing your hood. I used a stock 75 manifold with a quadrajet on my pontiac 400 and had to use a 2 inch tall element and just barely able to close the hood. However my car's not a racer, just a fun to drive car.

I was running the Performer before I took motor out.
The Performer RPM is a high rise intake.

I'm trying to get ahead of the Performer RPM not fitting so I don't bolt it on for no reason.

One person in this chat confirmed it fit.
I would love to see a picture.

What is the deck height of the Pontiac block? I like how a sbc 400 rpm air gap question was bombed in at the end of that thread. I may as well ask if a rpm will fit my Olds 403 in my Cutlass. It won't with a stock air cleaner by the way, 2 extra inches really makes a difference 😁.
