How do I determine which ported vacuum switch is the correct one. They list 5 different ones in the catalog.

Dark Blue; 2 Ports
Black Finish; 2 Ports
Purple; 2 Ports
Blue; 2 Ports
Black; 2 Ports

I'm thinking the difference is the temperature at which it opens. Anybody got any clues?

This is the ported vacuum switch on the thermostat housing. It's an 84 GP w/305.

Is it for the EGR or something else? What do the hoses go to?

According to the GM parts information, it's GM p/n 14007803. Delco #212-72. For EFE valve. 90 degrees (black). 2 ports. Mounts on T-stat housing.

$24.65 plus tax on ebay. It's discontinued from GM.

Standard PVS48 is one aftermarket alternative.
