I recently purchased a 86 442, for a couple parts, going to be getting rid of most of it, no factory engine or trans. It has a posi trac rear end, rpo for the car says, "G80" How can I be certain it is the correct one that came on this car?

easy, take off the cover and look at the set up. The number of teeth will be marked so you do the math and you'll come up with the ratio.

Posi rearend's came with an aluminium tab under one of the cover bolts. Although if it isn't there it doesn't mean its not posi.

Only way I know of to determine if it is the rear it came with is to lift of lower half or rear seat and see if the option sheet is there and if the rear code on that matches your rear end code.
