Been away from this site after the Elky went down the rode, but thought there might be some help here with the latest conundrum.:
I have a 350 Vortec engine, and have not been able to get much info on it looking through various search attempts. I finally committed to removing the serpentine belt Alternator/tensioner/ and mount to read the block pad stamp: K1020XKA. Now can’t find out what it tells me as so far the lists I see do not include the XKA suffix. Any code Gurus here?

From That “Pirate4x4” site: Thanks! Works for me! Mine was likely out of a 1500 class van, has long PS and oil dip-sticks.

Just got a call back from GM. My engine with the suffix "XKA" is a 99' model 5.7L out of a 1500 class vehicle. That is all that they could tell me. I guess from there I will be able to figure out what I need if and when the day comes that I have to replace a sensor or accessory part.”
