I'm ready to hook up the electrical connections for the electric fans. A wire goes to the ignition switch from the relays. I know that I can tap into the fuse block for a switch powered connection. Is there a source that I can tap into in the engine compartment that is also switched on by the ignition switch vs running a long wire to the fuse block inside the car?

Which would be the best power source at the fuse box to use? I don't have any other non factory accessories running out of the box, so the fan will be the only one.

So are these triggered to come on with a thermal switch?

Yes, thermal switch is like a sending unit installed by the thermostat housing. It triggers the fans to start. Each fan has its own 30amp relay. I got the two relay kit from J..s.

I ran both of mine into the fuse panel.

Any circuit marked IGN will work

If you need power for the fan relay, run it to the battery. Ignition for the relay coil can be had on a pink 12ga, at the ignition switch or one of the ports mentioned above.

that is how I do it, I use a Blue Sea box to fuse my HID headlights, fuel pump, 2 fans. The pump, and fan relays are controlled by a switched source

Thanks for the clear diagram! I know that the IGN ones are power and the place to tap into at the fuse box. Just trying to find a closer place in the engine compartment so as to not run 8 ft of wire from the relays in the front of the car to the fuse box. Yes, the relays master power is connected to the battery via a 10 gage wires. Just looked at a video on the Blue Sea box fuse box. If I go to an electric fuel pump I'll get one of those.
