Does anybody have any idea what sizes I'm looking for? I really don't want to buy 10 trying to figure it out. 1978 Malibu original gear box. See link below. Thanks

i replaced one of my adapter fittings a few months ago and it was Russell 648060.it's a -6x(m16x1.5)
i realized my box was later model than your 1978.mine is metric as in 1980 GM changed from its original 45-degree inverted flare 5/8×18 UF and 11/16×18 UNS female fitting sizes to a metric O-ring (often called Saginaw fittings) measuring 16×1.5 mm and 18×1.5 mm. it was the smaller of the two closest to the steering shaft.

One side is 11/16-18 and as stated 5/8-18 on the other.
Worked with them many times at a past job.
