Hey guys I have a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix, it previously had a Worn out 350 sbc and over the winter I built a more powerful 350 sbc for it. I decided to switch to solid motor mounts from speedway motors. Everything fits fine except the power steering pump pulley hits the power steering gear box. The motor mounts drop the motor about 2in. Anyone sealed with this problem before?

The solid motor mounts you bought are lower than the factory mounts

2" drop on the engine is quite a lot what mounts did you buy from Speedway?
I would also worry about other issues like headers, drivetrain angle, etc with that drop.

They are a universal fit so I suspect that’s the problem, the headers weren’t easy they went in.

I suspect this drop up front will raise the tail end of the transmission up.
IMO I would change those out for Moroso solids or something similar and save yourself from having other issues.

For a street car, put the poly urethane block in in place of the rubber and use the factory mounts.

Which motor mounts did you get from them? Would love a link, thanks for the help!

I ordered Moroso 62630 mounts for the frame and 62515 for the engine. These were specified by Lemons Headers for the headers they made for me.
