I was trying to mock up my Pypes 2.5" exhaust system and the tail pipes do not fit right. Pretty much I can't can't mount the end of the tail pipe to the frame with out them hitting the upper control arm when the car is sitting on the ground. They seem to fit fine when the rear end is hanging down when the car is jacked up, but not when sitting on the ground.

Anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone have a pic of where they have their tail pipes mounted on the frame with the Pypes system? They have to be the Grand National style tail pipes.

ith rear exit it should run along the 2 fram rails, right below them, i have the pypes system it fits great.

I don't have rear exit, it's side exit.

The instructions say there should be holes already in the frame, but they are not there.

Check this post , has a link to pics. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19672&start=0

If that does not help give me a call , ask for Bob, I will be working there tomorrow.

I tried looking at the pics. There is none of where exactly the hanger is on the frame. I already tried calling tech support, but I really want to make sure the tail pipes are mounted in the correct location first before I call again.

Finally got it. Pretty much the instructions say to mount the tail pipes on the frame first, then get the rest of the system in. You can't really do that when the frame does not have the holes the instructions say are there. Pretty much, I had to set the rest of the system in place, then mount the tail pipes to the frame.

It's so nice to have a car with exhaust on it. I have it really rigged up right now and it has some leaks, but it is a lot nicer sounding than with just open manifolds.
