Progress picture thread and update

Way back in 1990, my first car was a 1978 Olds Cutlass Supreme. I was a freshman in HS when I bought her for $750.00 and I loved that car. Went to hell and back with her a few times for sure. My dad (mostly my dad) and I rebuilt a Olds 350 and TH 350 because I killed both the engine and trans doing neutral drops to spin the tires in that sorry 2.41 rear end… lmao.. now. My dad is my greatest hero ever, he worked for a Chevrolet dealer in a small town as a mechanic in the 60’s and 70’s and is the smartest guy I know.

Anyway enough about that. I don’t post much and am really lousy with project pictures so I need to brag… I bought this 85 MC from my friends dad that owned it since I was in HS. It had been parked in a garage for maybe 15 years. Time took its toll on the paint and it had a few bumps and bruises.

Anyway I bought it and replaced the 305 with a L31 and had the 200-4R built race ready. I have touched every thing on this car mechanically. A year ago I started goofing with the body along with help from two of my High School best friends.

What follows are some pics of the progress. Again I am lousy of taking pictures but this is what I have.

Still have to put her back together along with color sand and buff. I am really happy with my mid life crisis car so far

Missed this pic I think. This year before the HR power tour my dad and I took a cruise and found a great lil Mexican restaurant in Girard KS. Food was amazing!
