And these comprise the second series. They are mostly detail shots of the decay and damage that the original inner door skin was found to have when the outer skin was removed. As pointed out in the thread on "What did you do to your G-Body today", this inner door shell is not destined for the scrap pile. Although the lower outer door skin mounting flange is most attached with bubble gum welds, they can be ground down, now that the inside faces are exposed and either the flange can be reworked or cut away and recreated. A project for next summer or??

And a few additional shots of the old inner door shell, now resting on the body panel work frame.

As my comments over on "What did you do with your G-Body Today", noted, all this looks nasty, rusty and disposable. No disagreement except with the disposable. New inner door shells are about 500-600 USD and that, with shipping and handling and the exchange, all adds up to about a 1000 CDN. Uh-uh, not happening, which makes this a rehab project. For the present it will get ground down and the majority of the rust eradicated. At that point, what can be salvaged and what has to be repaired/replaced can be identified. There are no plans to completely rehab this right now. No time and other projects pending with a time crunch on the horizon due to the changing of the seasons.
BOTHER!! Just have to be optimistic and note that there are only 185 days, more or less, until spring. That truly sucks.
