Hmmh, be nice to hear what UMI has to say about your alignment problem. Even with adjustable uppers, you can’t dial it in? I wonder if adjustable lowers would get you there? Granted a weld on alternate mount would be cheaper but concerned that something just isn’t right.

As I have whined about incessantly in other threads, I had mine all on and aligned before I popped the rear end cover and got the cup of rear end filings in the fluid so (like everything I touch) lather rinse and repeat but I at least know it all fits. (y)

I haven't had a chance to even look it up on the site to figure anything out, my brother is up from NYC so it's yet another family get together.

I don't think it's an UMI issue, It's an aftermarket fabbed rear also so that adds a degree of error into the equation. I think it will easily be solved with a U saddle style connection to the shock mount. Quick fab fix. 😉👍

Busy night tonight. Started off with the intent of getting the fuel tank installed. Turns out I ordered the wrong size of fittings for the quick connects on the manifold rail and fuel tank. So they got ordered.

Carried right along with the final piece of the motor install. Did the trunion upgrade with the Smith brass trunion kit from Brian Tooley Racing.

Fairly simple to accomplish. Just punch out the old trunion with a punch.

Punch out the other bearing cap.

Press in the brass bushings, I used my vice, did get a pic but it's pretty easy and instructions are included. This was about 15 minutes worth of punching out trunion. They go out really quick.

And presto. Rockers are in.

Found a clearance issue on the driver side valve cover from the LQ4 so I had to cut the baffles out, minor surgery. But she is complete.

Now that I have functioning valves I made a timing mark and installed the super sophisticated LS specific timing setup device.

Tomorrow I'll fab up the lower shock mounts and install the exhaust. Then start putting the front end back together and get wiring done. 😀😀😀

Thank you Donovan, it's coming together finally with all these peices I've collected.

I just figured out that I'm off work until the 8th. Lol. Should make some real progress!

Put the rad support on with the rad for mockup. Started the rewiring process.

Turns out the Holley harness needs a specific oil pressure sensor, otherwise so far everything has clipped together perfectly (except the injectors but I knew that was going to happen).

Not to be outdone by Mike, exhaust is in.

Not to bad of a fit, despite some clearance issues with the rear suspension. If you have a stock G I can't see having an issue with this kit.

So this is the 3" Hooker stainless system suggested for the G body ls swap, yes it's expensive but it FIT, perfectly...

So here you go. The install p*rn. 😉

Spring clearance is good, there is some flexibility here also.

The clearance issue with the suspension link bars, could trim the bolt but rotating the muffler gave me enough to be comfortable. It is the same on both sides.

Very little ground clearance lost with a 3" full X pipe system.

Headers are tight to the oil pan for clearance, just a tad lower than the front cross member.

Not back to wiring.... 😀

sh*t, I’m gonna have to install some “Noss” (I hate that word!) or maybe a hair dryer or two on Olds Cool just to keep up with you when we get together for that cruise!
The Juggernaut however, I think would give you a run for your money, at least until you boost.
😉
Maybe someday...

Looking seriously impressive though, I’m lovin’ it. Keep up the momentum!
