Progress report. Put new brake pads on the back of my wife's car. 2013 Traverse. No pictures because, who cares. Made a new brake line for left front wheel of the Century. Replaced the caliper on that wheel also because someone broke the bleeder off. For 20 bucks it was not worth screwing with. Also replaced the front pads.

Starting to look like a hotrod shop in here. Got the radiator all cobbled in the Crown Vic. Tried starting the car and nothing. Got to looking over the harnesses and I guess I nicked the main front harness with the sawzall.

Had to fix about a half dozen wires. Starts and runs again. No codes or problems. So me and Luke went hotroding around in it.

Well worth the 80 dollar radiator to be able to do that stuff! As for the house project. I got the porch wall all fixed up and rapped. Put the J trim all back on. I need to get a synthetic white board for under the entry door and then I can put the bottom keeper trim on. I plan to get rid of the cement steps and build a small porch in the spring. Those steps is what caused the rotten boards. I also got the siding put back on the south west porch wall.

I did get a bunch of crap burnt up last night too. It was a pretty productive weekend. Hope you enjoy!

So Luke's truck project took a turn in a different direction.

I was messing around on Market Place last week. A woman was selling a couple racecars. I noticed a Fat Fender Ford in the back ground, so asked about it. She replied and said how many do you want and what are you looking for. I made a trip to Mason City last Saturday. Just over a hour away. I found the honey hole for these trucks! She has over 50 Ford trucks and parts like you would not believe. She has a few rare jewels.

Super rare 50's crew cab! The story I got was, the old man that collected these trucks died and a family member inherited it all. That person got disabled and could not live there anymore so he sold the hole estate to the new owner. She has no interest in any of the stuff. She only wants the property. Unfortunately she knows pretty much what things are worth. I made a deal on some parts. Almost no rust on a 56 cab and frame. Enough body panels to build a hole truck. For 1500 bucks. I picked out the best fenders I could find. I got a new short bed kit. Here it is all mocked up on the trailer.

Beings the cab is so nice and I have a short bed and frame it changes the direction a little bit. So the drive train and suspension out of the Crown Vic is going into this frame. I think it will be a way better deal when we are done? I have been stripping the wiring out of the Crown Vic so I can take the hole body off the frame. It will make more sense to you guys later. Are you still interested?

That is pretty nice, and has the hood louvered already. Score!!
I could have got in a normal hood, but I thought this one was cool beans. I later thought about it and it may not be a good choice with the electronics under the hood with rain?
