Wellston, OK
I see the remaining "Bullitt" Mustang sold for 3.4 MILLION dollars at Mecum Kissimmee.

I know it's an "iconic" car and it's supposedly the "greatest chase scene ever", but as I recall, it really wasn't that great.

Lot of money for a beater that you can never make look decent without "destroying it's value/patina/heritage"

Let the flames begin...

I didn’t think the movie was that great. I liked the Charger better.
There’s some fuel for the fire. 😛

You know what they say, there’s a butt for every seat! What’s really funny is the guy that owned it all these years refused to sell it back to Steve McQueen himself. Lol
Hemmings did a full feature on it recently.

I think it was about 3.2 mil high even for an actor owned movie car.
Thankfully it'll likely rarely get driven. The wheel hop on that thing was a b*tch & the 9 speed manual seemed a little hard to shift.
Did like the car chase scene, never really even watched the rest of the movie.
Don't think the movie charger held too much value after filming.

It was a good movie and GREAT chase scene for it’s time . I fondly remember seeing it on a date when it first came out.

*Best chase seen ever!" Insert sarcastic comment "OK Boomer".... But seriously, it wasn't really anything special IMO. Not bad, but not the best ever ...

The Dukes of Hazzard had better chase scenes every week. And Daisy!
