I went with the 3” kit from Holley. I haven’t installed it yet so I can’t comment on the fitment, but from what I‘ve read it’s second to none. I wanted to go with the pypes originally to save a few bucks and then decided against it. At this point in my build I’m starting to get impatient so decided to spend a little more and get something engineered well. Here’s unboxing on Christmas Eve. It was the last big purchase besides the rear end. The welds look good and that’s coming from a pipe welder by trade lol.

My dad bought me the Flowmaster 15819 3” tailpipes for 1964-1967 chevelle for Christmas I’ve read on a thread here that they fit. I’ll report back and let you guys know how they fit when I get them.
I got the tailpipes made today, I had to chop them up and make them work but they did work, with a little help. I’m happy with how they came out.

I wondered if tail pipes intended for another car would fit ours. Thanks for trying it out and getting back to us on it! Pls post pictures of them once you get them installed.

I'm glad the thread got bumped, I actually worked on exhaust yesterday too. I got thr Pypes setup set into place where I thought it needs to be. There are some tweaks to be made, figure out proper length on driver side pipe from header, proper hanger locations, and more Jack stands. Overall it fits well so far. I'll update once I get further, but really need more stands to position everything.

I ran in to the same problem with the jack stands. I ended up using a 5 gallon bucket, a milk crate, my jack and a bunch of blocks of wood plus 2 jack stands. Definitely a pain in the *ss 😂.

you mean you don't have the world's smallest pallet jack for exhaust work? :)

Alright, time to update this thread finally. I finished up the Pypes install yesterday and got the car back on the ground. Overall I'm really pleased with the fitment and how the install went.
Pros: Nice mandrel bent stainless pipes that line up good. Exhaust tucks up to the floor well and ground clearance not an issue.
Cons: cheap azz u bolt clamps instead of band clamps. The header extension pieces should be longer to allow for adjustment. I had to buy a $30 piece of tubing to finish it up.
Here the last install pics with car on the ground, and one video with the car at cold idle. The tunes needs tweaking, and I'll get another video with engine warmed up.
