I have a 1982MC can I replace the power steering box with the one from a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee? This is what mine currently looks like and it's leaking.

You'll need a new G Body steering arm, the Saginaw one won't work, also I believe the Cherokee one will have o-ring fittings instead of flare fitting to the box

Is the steering arm on the bottom?

82 should have O-ring style hoses already. The change to O-ring fittings was for the 1980 model year onward

I had the same 600 series box (also leaking) and replaced it with an 800 series QR box from BuyAutoParts when I did my front end. I had to purchase a new pitman arm as well due to the bigger diameter of the output shaft. I think I bought the pitman are from Dixie Restoration. Be very happy with the conversion to QR box.

Below is what I got from a local junkyard. It came from a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I just want to make sure this is the right one before I buy it. The pitman arm from the Jeep is very steep compared to the MC, I'm assuming this is why I need a new one.
