rack & pinion conversion

hi guys have many or any of you done this conversion to a g-body chassis??is it worth it besides the expense??thanks for your time!!!

The only real thing you gain with rack and pinion is weight savings and better wearability. But steering feel is really no different than a typical steering box.

The biggest issue with ANY rack pinion setup out there is non of them have addressed the issue of bumpsteer. Most are swaps are geared for 1/4 mile cars which don't really care about turning. However on a street car, bumpsteer is terrible.

for bump steer id try and use the setups for big trucks, like mudding or rock climbing trucks where they have like a shock absorber that attaches to the frame and the other side to the steering. try that.
