My 84 Hurst Olds has two small additional ports on the radiator end tank besides the two for transmission fluid lines. These are capped off, but I'm wondering what they are for. Anyone know what they were used for?

Have to see them. If it is a small one about 4” down below the filler neck , it is for a fan sensor/ low fluid sensor. If they are on the opposite side and about 1/2” diameter you may have a radiator ment for a diesel/ engine oil cooler.

One is just below the filler cap. While it is plugged with an NPT fitting, it appears to be a hose barb for a 5/8 inch hose. The other is at about the midway point of the end tank and is a bung for a 1/8 inch NPT male fitting.

Top is for a return hose from the heater core if it doesn’t go into the intake. The other the for a sensor fan or low fluid.
