Their 4 row looks promising but the tanks are 3/4” thicker and I haven’t measured to see if it would fit without issue. I’ll like swap thermostats first thing just to note the difference before buying anything else. And then likely the 1” tube 2 row.
It is a very wide rad, the Champion 4 core. So is the Cold Case rad with 2, 1.25" cores. Pagrunt had to modify quite a few things to fit it. I am planning on the A body version of Cold Case or the Autocity version with 2, 1 1/8" cores for my 70S when I put in the 424 403 stroker.

Dodge Stratus/Pylmouth Breeze 4 cyl 96 to 05 fans, supposedly higher output than the V6 but that could be BS. They fit very well, draw serious amps and move a lot of air. Mine are 2000 Plymouth Breeze fans. I find 40 amp relays burn out often, upgrading to a 60 amp relay.

With most folks touting two 1" rows of tubes over everything else, I am a little puzzled by Champion's specs that show the following.

Two 3/4" row with 2-1/2" = 525hp
Three 5/8" rows with 2-1/2" tanks = 750hp
Two 1" rows with 2-1/2" tanks = 700hp

They say that their two 1" row radiator outcools 'others' 3 and 4 row radiators, but stop short of talking about their own 3 row. I have a new 3 row Champion that came in the car when I got it. I personally don't think it has 5/8" tubes (more like 1/2" max). I'll try to get a measurement to confirm.

If I find that my tubes are smaller than 5/8" I'll be purchasing new, but now I am unsure which one. My new 519 Cadillac is idling at about 210F in the garage with a 16" SPAL fan running constantly and a shroud. It has a 180F thermostat which isn't really helping since it just stays open all the time. I have a 195F coming which should at least partially close and hold the hot water in the radiator a bit longer to cool. This had worked on my Ford 429/460/514 and Buick 455 as it allowed the engines to maintain 195F instead of free flowing at 200F+. I believe I'd be better off with no thermostat at this point.

Educated and experienced suggestions welcome. Conjecture and opinion not so much...……………..

After measuring mine does in fact have three 5/8" rows. We'll see how she does out on the road

I honestly don't think comparing how one radiator cools something in one car and then putting it in a different car with a different engine, tune, grill opening etc

I have the Champion 3 row in my Regal with a 355 SBC using a new thermal clutch and a 6 blade fan with aluminum blades and a 180 hi flow thermostat and it runs 180 all day long.
The before picture with the 307 is post #3 of this thread with the same radiator.

Agreed, not all cars are the same, mine is especially Challenging. I had a 5 blade with new clutch, then 7 blade and Stratus fans, each one slightly better. I had a 2 core with 1" tubes that kept temps around 180 till the Mr Gasket thermostat starting acting up. Then it starting leaking between the cores. The underdrive pulleys also caused charging and cooling issues, never again. After all the cooling issues I have had with my 88, overkill is just about right in my book. Curious to see how the 2 core with 3/4" tubes does with Mr Sony's Buick 350. The Regal grills look like they will allow more air in, which should help.

It has a bigger grill opening than my Monte, it makes me wonder how the Cutlass compares with 2 smaller separate grill openings with all things being equal.

Yeah, the Euro front is the worst, even smaller openings. If Macar1993 can cool a 10 to 1 403 in a Euro 87, the Champion 4 core is doing its job.

Is it dodge intrepid or stratus? Or would they both work? I just ordered the intrepid thinking that was the one.......

Both seem to work.
