Hey guys. I’m finally getting a place to work on my SS in the next month or so and am looking to hoard some parts I know I’ll want in the near future.

When I purchased the Monte the antenna was gone. I overlooked it but didn’t realize the condition it was in until I got home and did a better look over of everything. Either way, I can tell that something is missing and/or broken all together. Based on the attached photos can y’all tell me what I’m missing or better yet any suggestions on complete replacement of the assembly. If a complete replacement is needed, is the assembly specific to MCSS or can any G Body antenna assembly be used? Part numbers or links are much appreciated. Thanks for the help in advanced.

Are you looking for factory replacement, or do you just want a new, working power antenna?

It looks like you are missing the mast and bezels. If you plug in the 3 pin connector by the blower motor, does it run? If it does, the mast should pop out and will continue running until you unplug it.

A new working antenna is what I'm looking to accomplish. Im not sure that mine is a power antenna though. I don't have the RPO for it from what I recall and I also don't believe I have the remote trigger wire in my radio harness. I suppose I'm looking for the bezel and mast then from what youre saying.

I don't see any power wires going that way, and it sure doesn't look like a power antenna. Looks like a manual job to me. The top of the power antenna mast has teeth in it to poke into the metal underneath as well as INTERNAL threads for the antenna nut to screw into through the spacer.

No matter what you do, you'll need to do some body work to straighten up that hole for whatever antenna you put in there.

You could always get an 81 or 82 Windshield with the antenna wire in that...then fill the hole in the fender. Just an option.

AFAIK, not many SS Montes had a power antenna. My 86 had a manual, and every other Monte SS had a manual that I've seen. Not saying it wasn't available, just not a popular option apparently.

Manual Monte Antenna parts. Best I can find...a kit perhaps?

88AZSS, I put a regal windshield in my 85SS when I painted it, and welded the antenna hole in the fender. I have my old 85SS complete manual antenna. PM me if you need one.
